THE ORANGE CHAIR, 1955
The Orange is a classic armchair designed by the Danish architect Hans Olsen in 1955. The Orange chair from Hans Olsen's hand is one of the earliest known shell chairs and has been nicknamed the Orange because of its characteristic back and seat that resemble orange peels. With reference to the era's color experiments and the architect's own playful attitude to design, the upholstered shell chair is available in a two-tone variant that puts a playful touch on the design.
With The Orange chair, you can adapt the design to your own style. The armchair comes in oak, smoked oak or black lacquered beech in either raw wood or with padding on the seat and back. Choose between exclusive leather and many different colors and textiles from Kvadrat.
FRIED EGG CHAIR, 1956
Fried Egg is a unique asymmetrical armchair, designed by Hans Olsen in 1956. The chair was relaunched for the first time in 2018 by Warm Nordic in close collaboration with Hans Olsen's descendants. Due to Fried Egg's characteristic shape, the spacious as well as graceful chair has been nicknamed the Mirror Bed, because this is exactly what the chair reminds of when the design is viewed from above. The flat armrest invites you to casually swing your legs up on the edge if you really want to relax.
For the greatest possible flexibility in the interior, Fried Egg is now available both right- and left-facing, depending on where you want it to fall on the armchair. As a tribute to the 50s' joy of color and love for teak, Fried Egg is produced in this elegant type of wood and with upholstery in a number of carefully selected colors from the Warm Nordic universe.
