Lean Back

Lean Back is an elegant, reclining lounge chair in 50s design, created by the renowned Danish furniture designer Arne Hovmand-Olsen. Despite the lightness and an almost floating expression, the lounge chair is incredibly comfortable to sit in and invites you to long stays with conversations around the coffee table or immersion in the world of books and magazines. The solid wood armrest is so elegantly designed that it almost looks like leather with its soft sway. Arne Hovmand Olsen

Arne Hovmand-Olsen (1919-1989) had his eyes on the world both before and after he became one of Denmark's renowned furniture designers in the 50s. The son of a farmer and an aesthete by nature, he started out as a cabinetmaker's apprentice before studying furniture design and pursuing his passion for visual composition and furniture design.
