Twirling Bird
Twirling Bird
Unique turning birds in wood, designed in the 50s by the Danish furniture architect and a true artist in processing wood, Jacob Hermann, and now put into production by Warm Nordic. The Danish-produced Twirling Birds are well suited as a personal gift that will bring joy across generations. The twirling birds each have their own personality, which is determined by the grain and color of the wood, and can be used both for decoration and for play, where a Twirling Bird is spun around easily like an elegant version of 'The one the bottle neck points to'. This is how the artist himself used them. As a nice detail, the eye itself on some of the hand-polished Twirling Birds is also made from a small piece of wood. The fine birds come in a beautiful box, which also makes them perfect as a sweet gift for someone you care about. Choose from several different models and exclusive types of wood in oak, smoked oak and solid teak.
DESIGNER
Jacob Hermann
Dane Jacob Hermann (1910-1995) originally trained as a cabinetmaker, but early chose the artistic life on the West Coast. In Jacob Hermann's genes lay a great love for wood and the work of the hand, which he pursued throughout his life.
