Warm Nordic is a Danish design brand that embraces the warm, Nordic aesthetics and feeling. With a strong Scandinavian design tradition as a basis, Warm Nordic builds a bridge between past and present, between tradition and renewal.

DESIGN FROM THE 50'S AND 60'S

We are relaunching furniture and lamps from the 50s and 60s in modern colors and textiles.

In close collaboration with the descendants, we recreate overlooked designs that deserve icon status.

Among our classic designers are: Hans Olsen, Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen, Hans Agne-Jakobsson, Knud Færch, Arne Hovmand-Olsen, Gunnar Cyrén and Jacob Hermann.

MODERN DESIGN

We also collaborate with contemporary designers who add new designs with unique shapes and color combinations to our universe.

Among our contemporary designers are: Charlotte Høncke, Rikke Frost, Studio Føy, Sara Wright Polmar, Isabel Ahm, Sabine Stougaard, Morten & Jonas, Sebastian Alberdi, Halskov & Dalsgaard and Welling/Ludvik.

THE IDEA BEHIND WARM NORDIC

Frantz Longhi, the founder of Warm Nordic, has collected antique Scandinavian designs for many years.

The antique designs were used to furnish his Kähler Design restaurants in Aarhus. Here, many guests showed great interest in the classic designs that were no longer in production.

When Frantz discovered that others saw the beauty and quality of the classic furniture, he could not bear the thought that iconic chairs by Hans Olsen and Knud Færch would only live out their lives at international auctions.

And so an idea began to take shape for Frantz, who then contacted the designers' descendants.

In close cooperation with the designers' families, Warm Nordic today takes care of the design heritage and brings the classic designs into the present.

Warm Nordic is a matter of the heart and a passion. For me and many others, the Scandinavian style and way of life is full of warmth. It is anything but 'Cool Nordic', as it is often called. It may be cold outside, but the atmosphere inside is warm. The style is not over-decorated, but with a warm, genuine expression and maybe even fire in the fireplace. It is the style that has made Danish hygge famous throughout the world.

The old masters are united with the best contemporary designers, so Warm Nordic offers both a Classic Collection and a Contemporary Collection. The two collections together make clear the quality of Scandinavian design and its independence from time and generations. With the founding of Warm Nordic, I want to give design lovers, with a penchant for classic Scandinavian interiors, new high-quality choices.

I hope that many will find joy in a fully-cast, curated universe that unfolds the warm and unpretentious atmosphere that characterizes Scandinavian design. We are not cool. We are Warm Nordic.
