Fried Egg Colour
Fried Egg Colour
Exclusive special edition of Hans Olsen's timeless 50s design in brand new, curated colors by award-winning designer Alfredo Häberli. With deep respect for the modernist design and the armchair's inherent quality, he has created an elegant color palette and monochrome interpretation that emphasizes Fried Egg's essence and at the same time contributes a modern feel and edge. All colors and textiles are carefully selected, and what at first glance is experienced as one color is a sensual encounter between several shades and textures, which speak directly to Hans Olsen's playful idiom with personality and whimsy. Due to Fried Egg's characteristic shape, the spacious as well as graceful chair has been nicknamed the Mirror Bed, because this is exactly what the chair reminds of when the design is viewed from above. The flat armrest invites you to nonchalantly swing your legs up on the edge if you really want to relax, and Fried Egg is also known and loved for its iconic design as well as its comfort. Alfredo Häberli has therefore focused exclusively on the color scheme – a simple gesture with great emotional significance – and in his monochrome interpretation, Fried Egg has been enriched with a new depth and renewed relevance through the subtle effect of the colours. The special edition of Fried Egg is available in two curated color combinations that each have their own individual character, but at the same time are coordinated so that the chairs can be combined. Choose between the colors Light Blue and Sour Yellow
DESIGNER
Hans Olsen
Hans Olsen (1919-1992) left his own mark on 1950s Danish modernism with his well-rounded furniture with personality. Several design classics from the hand of the Danish architect are today collectors' icons and are sold for high bids at international auctions. Here, Hans Olsen illustrates how the iconic Fried Egg chair with its distinctive design invites you to throw your legs nonchalantly over the side of the chair.
