Gesture Chair Colour
Gesture Chair Colour
Exclusive special edition of Hans Olsen's shapely 50s design in brand new, curated colors by award-winning designer Alfredo Häberli. With deep respect for the modernist design and the dining chair's inherent quality, he has created an elegant color palette and monochrome interpretation that emphasizes the essence of the Gesture Chair and at the same time contributes a modern feel and edge. All colors and associated textiles are carefully selected for their sensual character and speak right into Hans Olsen's playful idiom and colorful universe. With its welcoming design, the Gesture Chair creates a warm atmosphere around the dining table or at the desk in the living room, where a chair must also be something special. The armrests invite you to sit down and find peace in the form-fitting design and are also designed so that you can move very close to the table. The Gesture Chair is a design chair that is as beautiful as it is ergonomically successful, with a certain heaviness that is balanced by a light and playful radiance. Alfredo Häberli has therefore focused exclusively on the color scheme - a simple gesture with great emotional significance - and in his monochrome interpretation the Gesture Chair has been enriched with a new depth and renewed relevance through the subtle effect of the colours. The lacquered special edition of the Gesture Chair is available in six curated colours, each with its own individual character, but at the same time coordinated so that chairs in different colors can be combined around a dining table. Upholstery on the seat or both seat and back adds another layer to the color scheme, as the textile is perceived as the same color from a distance, but contributes a different shade and structure in the meeting with the chair itself. Choose between the colors Light Blue, Sour Yellow, Dark Green, Dark Blue, Rust and Red.
Hans Olsen (1919-1992) left his own mark on 1950s Danish modernism with his well-rounded furniture with personality. Several design classics from the hand of the Danish architect are today collectors' icons and are sold for high bids at international auctions. Here, Hans Olsen illustrates how the iconic Fried Egg chair with its distinctive design invites you to throw your legs nonchalantly over the side of the chair.
