Trombone Cylinder

The Trombone series was designed in 1966 by the renowned Danish lighting designer Jo Hammerborg, who was behind a large number of original lamps that have gained classic status over time - several based on cylindrical shades. Precisely Trombone presented a number of technical challenges during the design process and therefore took on a special meaning for Jo Hammerborg when his vision succeeded - and the lamp is among the designs that had a place of honor in his own home throughout his life. Simple and elegant pendant in a tight geometric design. The cylindrical Trombone pendant invites in all its beautiful simplicity to a modern interior, exactly as was Jo Hammerborg's design philosophy. The pendant is made up of a metal cylinder, which has a circle of narrow vertical slits punched out both above and below, which allow the light to pass through the metal and illuminate the fixture. In combination with the white inside of the cylinder, it creates a uniquely beautiful lighting effect. The Trombone series also includes a table lamp and a floor lamp, which in their design look reminiscent of a trombone and inspired the name of the series. All three lamp designs are available in either brushed brass or brushed aluminum and testify to Jo Hammerborg's love for metals.
