Fried Egg Sheep
Fried Egg Sheep
Unique asymmetrical armchair in a faceted variant with soft hand-stitched sheepskin, where remnants of sheepskin in different colors are put together so that each chair becomes a unique piece of furniture art.
The Fried Egg armchair was designed by the renowned Danish architect Hans Olsen in the 50s and is a unique design chair with both personality and whimsy, which is emphasized in the particularly comfortable sheepskin variant, which is now available for design lovers. Due to its characteristic shape, the spacious as well as graceful chair has been nicknamed the Mirror Lay, because this is precisely what the chair reminds of when the design is viewed from above. The flat armrest invites you to casually swing your legs up on the edge if you really want to relax. The upholstery with the soft sheepskin, which is naturally curled, is available in three versions, each with its own radiance. A beautiful gray for the dark, subdued look. A bright variant with Scandinavian lightness and elegance in slightly stronger leather and finally a multi. As a tribute to the 50's love of teak, Fried Egg is produced in this elegant type of wood.
DESIGNER
Hans Olsen
Hans Olsen (1919-1992) left his own mark on 1950s Danish modernism with his well-rounded furniture with personality. Several design classics from the hand of the Danish architect are today collectors' icons and are sold for high bids at international auctions. Here, Hans Olsen illustrates how the iconic Fried Egg chair with its distinctive design invites you to throw your legs nonchalantly over the side of the chair.
