Warm Nordic is a matter of heart and passion. For me and many others, the Scandinavian style and way of life is full of warmth. It is anything but 'Cool Nordic', as it is often called. It may be cold outside, but the atmosphere inside is warm. The style is not over-decorated, but with a warm, genuine expression and maybe even fire in the fireplace. It is the style that has made Danish hygge famous throughout the world.

For many years, I have collected Scandinavian design and, among other things, furnished the Kähler restaurants with my auction finds from the 50s and 60s. Over time, several guests have inquired about the classic chairs, tables and lamps, which were no longer in production. And then an idea began to take shape. I reached out to the descendants of the original architects and designers - and experienced great support from the families to give the beautiful designs new life in Warm Nordic.

When others noticed the beauty and quality of the old classics, I couldn't bear the thought that iconic chairs by Hans Olsen and Knud Færch or internationally known lamps by Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen should only live their lives at international auctions. Now they - along with a number of other classics - have been brought to life in Warm Nordic.

The old masters are at the same time united with the best contemporary designers, so Warm Nordic offers both a Classic Collection and a Contemporary Collection. The two collections together make clear the quality of Scandinavian design and its independence from time and generations. With the founding of Warm Nordic, I want to give design lovers, with a penchant for classic Scandinavian interiors, new high-quality choices.

I hope that many will find joy in a fully-cast, curated universe that unfolds the warm and unpretentious atmosphere that precisely characterizes Scandinavian design. We are not cool. We are Warm Nordic.
