THE ICONIC FRINGE LAMP
Fringe is a series of iconic lamps designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson in the 60s. The design goes by the name 'Frynselampen' and is characterized by a beautiful, shiny brass edge that bears the characteristic fringes of textile. Fringe is a timeless design statement and is constructed so that the pendant creates warm and cozy lighting with the help of the fringes, which hide the light source in the most beautiful way. In the series you will find a table lamp, a pendant, a wall lamp and a floor lamp.
ELEGANT LIGHTING IN SEVERAL VARIATIONS
The fringe lamp has a unique elegance, whether it hangs on the wall, ceiling or stands on the table. With its sophisticated fringes and brass details, the lamp stands out and adds a Nordic charm to the surroundings. The four variants are available in a warm white or pink color, each of which exudes both exclusivity and personality.
THE DESIGNER BEHIND
Hans-Agne Jakobsson is a Swedish lighting master who is internationally recognized for his pioneering lighting designs. Jakobsson's signature is a soft, warm and subdued lighting that pleases the eye. Created with classic materials such as glass, organic wood veneers and brass - but also combined with sophisticated fringes in the playful lamp design, which today has iconic status.
For more than 30 years from the 50s onwards, he created original lamps that revolutionized Swedish lighting art. With a background in both carpentry and the world of architecture, it was natural for him to shape the light using materials and colors. Many of the original lamps are today valuable collector's items, which are of great interest at international auctions.
