Henry Hans Schubell

Deeply rooted in history, Henry Hans Schubell (1906-2001) stands as an iconic figure whose vision and expertise have inspired generations. Born and raised in the charming coastal town of Helsingør in 1906, Schubell was drawn to the special beauty of wood from a young age. His journey began as an apprentice at Winter & Winding, where his talent as a cabinetmaker quickly grew. Starting as a foreman at the age of just 23, he managed production with exceptional skill until 1945. Schubell also collaborated with other prominent designers and architects, helping to establish Denmark as an epicenter of modern design.
