The Swedish designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson was drawn to the light. For more than 30 years from the 50s onwards, he created original lamps that revolutionized Swedish lighting art. With a background in both carpentry and the world of architecture, it was natural for him to shape the light using materials and colors.
Hans-Agne Jakobsson's signature is soft, warm and subdued lighting that pleases the eye. Created with classic materials such as glass, organic wood veneers and brass – but also combined with sophisticated fringes in one of the more playful lamp designs that today has icon status.
